People From All Around the UK Needed for BAFTA TV Awards 2021

Hello, and thank you for deciding to participate in the BAFTA TV award for the Virgin Media ‘Must-see TV moment 2020”.

We want to know what YOU think were the best bits on UK TV in 2020.
This award is the only BAFTA that is voted for by the UK viewing public.

We are looking for all people from across the country to express their delight in the programmes which are a part of our culture, our conversations and in our hearts.

We are going to be travelling the length and breadth of the country to interview people about why they love the programmes they watch.

We will be visiting the following locations starting Monday 19th April and finishing Friday 23rd April.

London
Liverpool
Cardiff
Birmingham
Newcastle
Southhampton
Dundee
& Glasgow

We are looking for people to speak about why they watch the TV shows they love.

We are looking to do these interviews on location in your cities.
Successful applicants will be needed for 45 mins to meet our street team/interviewers to tell us and the UK why they love and watch these programmes.

All COVID protocols will be strictly followed. Interviewers will wear PPE and keep a safe distance from interviewees.

The content will be used to create a micro-documentary which will be shown in the lead up to the Bafta 2021 TV awards and shown at the awards before the winner is announced.

We are looking for people who watch the following programmes.

Britain’s got Talent
Googlebox
David Attenborough, ‘ A Life on our planet'
Eastenders
Cook, eat, repeat with Nigella
The Mandalorian
Coronation street
24 hours in A&E
Small Axe
I may destroy you
This Morning
Bridgerton

Our interview team (presenter and camera person)
Will visit you in your city to talk with you about why you love & watch any of these programmes.

Successful applicants will be needed on one day next week (Will be confirmed ASAP) for 45 mins to meet on location in your City on location to film with our presenter and camera person.

This award is decided by the people so we have decided it should be presented by the people.
We are looking for you to deliver and help present this prestigious award.

All types of people from around the UK to record a self-tape talking to the camera saying why they love any of the programmes in the list above.

There is no limit to the number of programmes you can talk about in your self-tape.
If you like them all you can talk about them all :)

We would like you to submit a self-tape which will be reviewed by the production team before they make selections.

We need the self-tapes as soon as possible as we are hoping to have everyone selected by Friday 16th April ready to shoot next week!

In the self tape can you state your name, age. Your location and which city from the list you are closet to.

We then need you to talk passionately about the programmes from the list that you watch.
Tell us why you watch them.
How you got into them.
What you like about them.
Any of your favourite characters.

This is not an exhaustive list. You can talk about anything that you love about these programmes.

Make sure that your phone or camera is in landscape mode and you shoot in a well lit area.

Please name video files with your name and location and send via email or wetransfer.com if the file is too large to iam@iamcastings.com.

We will be in touch with potential applicants with details.

The videos and soundbites shot on location will be cut and edited together so that each person says one line of the awards message. As well as making up a micro-documentary which will be shown before the award is given.

There will be a montage of one line from each person to make up the intro to the 10-second clip of the nominee.

Each successful person will be paid £150 for their time.
